Gate Of Heaven, Penglipuran Village, & Hidden Waterfall

Explore the east of Bali and learn Balinese history and culture on this private tour with a local guide. Visit the Lempuyang Temple, Tirta Gangga, the Krisik Waterfall, and Penglipuran Village. Stop for an optional local lunch (cost not included) and enjoy a coffee tasting at a coffee plantation.

Following pickup at your hotel lobby or accommodation in the morning, meet your driver, who will be your private guide for the day. Hop in a private air-conditioned vehicle and head to your first stop along the tour.

Your first stop is the Lempuyang Temple, one of Bali’s oldest and most respected temples. Recently, it has also become Instagram famous and known to the western world as the “Gate of Heaven.” The entire landscape looks very picturesque from this temple gate.

Next, stop at the Tirta Gangga, the so-called water palace, thanks to its one-of-a-kind scenery of ornamental gardens with swimming pools, fountains, stone carvings, stepping stones, fish ponds, and airy pavilions.

Get some time to take photos of the palace before heading to the next stop for lunch at Lereng Agung or Mahagiri (not include), a local restaurant where you can taste Bali cuisine while enjoying the views of Mount Agung.

After lunch, you’ll have the opportunity to try the Bali jungle swing (at your own expense). Then, grab your flip-flops for the Tukad Krisik Waterfall, whose name comes from “babbling water,” because the waterfall’s flow is gentle. Walk through the jungle and river to reach the hidden waterfall that will never dry up because it comes from a natural spring. Enjoy some time to dip your toes in the water and enjoy the fresh air and lush greenery.

After you’ve cooled down, visit a coffee plantation learn about coffee processing and join a coffee tasting. Take advantage of the unique experience to immerse all your senses in authentic Bali coffee.

Before the end of the trip, visit the Penglipuran Village is a beautiful highland village in the regency of Bangli, best known for its well-preserved layout and culture. Manicured gardens line the single stone-paved street that runs through the centre of the village toward the local temple, and age-old arched entrance gates and walls conceal each house.
